Santa Barbara County Fair & Expo

This weekend was the County Fair - usually home to my once-a-year indulgence otherwise known as FUNNEL CAKE.  This year though, there was more to it that fried batter and baby animals.  

Friday I went to the fair with three 7th grade boys - former students of mine, and we had a blast!  We went on nearly every ride, AND all 3 boys got on stage with the hypnotist!

Saturday I went twice - once for a lunch of Philly Cheesesteak and corn on the cob with Kate, and later for rides and a corn dog dinner with Zack.  

I went on rides the likes of which I've never been on before.  I felt a slight twinge of nausea after one ride, a feeling that I've never experienced from any ride in my lifetime - very uncomfortable...bad, bad, ride!

Anyhow, all was worth the fun I had - looking forward to the Ventura Fair this summer!
