California Teachers Association Presidents Conference

I had the opportunity to attend the Presidents Conference this year at Asilomar in Monterey. It was freezing (60 degrees) and cloudy all but 2 hours of one day, but seeing as I was there to learn stuff & network with people, I suppose that was OK.
The current President of the California Teachers Association was originally a teacher in Santa Maria, which is part of my state district. This gives our groups some perks, including being treated to dinner by the president.
Personally, I now have a very important political person as a Words With Friends opponent! So far I'm beating him pretty badly - I may have to let him win the next game ;o)
