Auntie Jen Goes to Hogle Zoo

Mom and I went to Hogle Zoo today with my niece and nephews, Taylor, Trace, and Tate.  We made it to 4 shows, which I am sure is a zoo record!  I had the Flip Camera with me, but this blog thing wont let me load more than one video per post.  If you click on the underlined words, it will link to the videos...

I tried to have a host for our zoo adventures, but a certain young Tate-man was a bit camera shy...

We saw the elephant show first.

Then we went to see the "Ghost of the Bayou."

On our walk to monkeyland, we met an owl.  He has finished digesting last night's dinner, and spewed a pellet for us.  It's out on the back deck drying out so we can rebuild the mouse skeleton later.

Making friends with a rhino...

The orangutan family was quite the sight - the little one stole the show! (There are some special monkeys at the beginning of this clip...)

The bird show was fantanstic!  This clip is pretty long, but if you've got the time to watch it's worth it. *coming soon....

The cat show is the newest to the Hogle Zoo.

The zoo also has a new ride: The Conservation Carousel.  I handed my mom the camera so the kids and I could wave.  Some of you may know that my mom is notorious for cutting off the tops of people's heads in photos.   Well, we all have our heads, but your necks might hurt after watching this!
