Last fall, I engaged in flirtation and ended up going on 2 (bad) dates with a particular fellow. This fellow happens to be attempting to pursue me currently.
I spent my morning at a meeting at our school district office. Upon my return, there was an envelope in my box... Inside was a cutout from the newspaper - a photo from an article that ran today. This fellow was in the photo, along with a fancy car. A handwritten note was scrawled across the picture: "Hey Jen, wanna go for a ride?" "Love you Jen" followed by his signature.
Well, I couldn't believe it! This was above and beyond any of his other attempts for my attention!
After sharing my shock and horror at this semi-stalker behavior with my colleagues in the lunchroom, there seemed to be an odd smile on the faces of some.
When the suggestion came that I ought to respond in some fashion, the confession came. Apparently during the morning recess, my esteemed colleagues came across this photo of my "boyfriend" (as they call him), and, well, we know what happened from there!
I did get a good laugh out of the whole thing, and am significantly relieved that it was a forgery!
