I call this evening, after nearly forgetting altogether, and guess who had forgotten for real??? My parents!
me: Happy Anniversary!
mom: silence...oh! really? oh!
So my dad has been gone since 5am fishing with his brother, Uncle Lenny, and his friend. My mom had totally forgotten even what day (#) it was. Apparently this is the first year she has forgotten. The plan now is to play a joke on dad and pretend that she's really upset...I think she'll probably wimp out on this in the last minute, but I can't wait to hear if she does!

Happy Anniversary indeed! I have no idea how I can do better about remembering this stuff. I am so awful. Thank goodness for sisters that do remember!
