I did get my hair cut - 6 inches off in fact, AND layers. Are those pigs flying outside my window? ;) My friend Sarah manages a salon at the downtown mall - every time I go in for a trim, she asks if she can take off inches. Last time I went in, she took almost 5 inches - rationalizing that we were removing the last of my yellowed "smoker" hair. I guess she caught me in the right mood Wednesday afternoon because off it came. There's nothing like having a hairstylist you can trust. (Again, sorry no photo...if someone forwards me any from tonight, I'll post the new "do")
Back home for another nap, then off to the James Joyce - my favorite local Irish Pub (yes, there's more than 1 Irish Pub here) to hear my boys play. It's nice to have a regular place. Kinda like Cheer's, but smaller and with peanut shells all over the floor.
I have made a new friend there, Alan. I suppose we've said hello and all sorts of aside comments to each other for maybe a year or so - I finally made an effort to remember his name last week. He can really make me laugh, and that is one of my "most important things in people" things.
I also got to meet Ed - the dart guy. Ed actually competes at this whole dart throwing thing. I got some really good pointers, and my game markedly improved!
I stayed 'til the bar closed -mainly on the principle that it was the last Wednesday I could 'til next summer, partly because people are really entertaining at that hour.
It was a good day.
